Greetings,

We are pleased to offer a unique opportunity to be a partner in recognizing and expanding women’s contribution to social justice in Chicago. Would you like to be able to selectively position your corporate name in front of key community and civic leaders?  As a sponsor of the exhibit “Women Alive! A Legacy of Social Justice”, you will have that opportunity. This breakthrough exhibit, opening later this month in Chicago, will honor two dozen pioneering living Chicago-area women who have dedicated their lives to social justice. We need your help to make it happen.

These remarkable honorees have been invited to create from the artifacts of their lives unique installations that will testify to their values, struggles, and achievements that have animated their public contribution. An opening reception, on a by-invitation-only basis, will launch the exhibition on June 21. Public events to be held throughout the summer at the exhibition will give even greater visibility to corporate sponsors, and inspire broad conversation in Chicago and beyond about the possibilities for justice and social innovation.

The list of honorees is attached along with a press release and executive summary. They are influential advocates for labor, health, employment, economic opportunity, education, interfaith unity, and social inclusion. They are all well connected and can influence the positive reputation of (name of company) within their community. They are esteemed by their colleagues and willing mentors to the next generation. All share in the criteria by which they were chosen:

  • committed to improving conditions for disadvantaged or oppressed groups and to empowering their communities;

  • risk-takers who are creating or leading a new vision and exploring new territory;

  • exemplary in their lives outside of career and public activities; dedicated to family and to religious or spiritual institutions;

  • role models who can inspire others to socially just missions and achievements.

Interviews of the honorees and other project documentation will become part of a permanent archive to be housed at the Gannon Center for Women and Leadership of Loyola University Chicago.

 Nearly half of the $40,000 budget for Women Alive! has already been raised. We are hoping your company will join the circle of support by donating, (or the equivalent in-kind. We are especially seeking printing of the exhibition program, photography and video services, and an underwriter for the opening day reception on June 21) Your sponsorship will be an important investment in people who are themselves committing personal energy to making this a great city.  You will be prominently recognized in the invitations, the program book, at the exhibition and on the website as a community trailblazer.

Please call me at 773-918-2420 at your earliest convenience to reserve this unique marketing opportunity for your organization so we can include your sponsorship in the opening reception invitation and exhibition materials.
